If The Pakistani Taliban Gets Control of Pakistan's Nuclear Weapons, They Will Use Them

During an interview with Beitullah Mahsoud (the Emir of the Pakistani Taliban) on Al-Jazeera TV on May 26, 2008, the Emir said the following:

"The problem of Pakistan is that it has lost what it used to have, and this is because it no longer has an independent political will, and its army does not adhere to its nuclear weapons. Moreover, it uses the weapons in its possession against the people and against the Muslims. Pakistan should use these [nuclear] weapons to defend the Muslims and to challenge the enemies. But the army has used its weapons to harm the people and the Muslims."

Clearly, my article of May 18, 2008, (entitled "Shari Established in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province") was correct in my assumption that Pakistan is the next "hot" spot in the War on Terror.

Beitullah Mahsoud went on to say, "We are happy to have the Americans here and to be their enemies. The Jews and the Christians are among our sworn enemies, and Allah willing, we will fight them to the end."

I don't think there is any doubt as to who he wants to "nuke". Again, I hope that US Intelligence services and the US Military are watching this carefully.

On the Funnier (?) Side

On Memorial Day, presidential candidate Obama released statements that members of his family served in the forces of the Soviet Union during World War II. Obama said,  "His WWII veteran uncle helped liberate Auschwitz."

This concentration camp, located in Poland, was liberated by the Red Army on January 27, 1945.

Later, presidential candidate Obama and his handlers released additional information. It seems that Obama's Red Army uncle and Soviet forces also liberated Buchenwald later that year. This came as quite a shock to veterans of the U.S. 89th Infantry Division. For over 50 years they thought that they had liberated Buchenwald, located in Germany.

Speaking to a gentleman (who asked not to be named), this World War II veteran of the 89th Infantry Division and the liberation of Buchenwald said he was shocked to learn that the Russians got there first.

Jimmy Carter Violates Oval Office "Intelligence"

On Sunday, May 25, 2008, former President Jimmy Carter said Israel has an arsenal of 150 nuclear weapons. The former president was speaking at a literary festival in Great Britain. Fox News reported that Israel’s former military intelligence chief, retired Maj. Gen. Aharon Ze’evi Farkash, warned that Carter’s remarks could encourage Iran to accelerate its development of nuclear weapons.

Most estimates by military experts have put the number of Israeli nukes at between 100 and 200. What was unclear is whether Carter, in stating the size of the Israeli arsenal, was drawing on U.S. intelligence he would have been privy to while president.

Carter "is not the first and he won’t be the last to talk about this," Farkash said in an interview to Radio Israel. "He saw fit to say things which I think weren’t that responsible. He was a president a long time ago, and these kinds of things could do damage, but on the other hand, it could enhance the deterrent."

My take on this whole affair is that the former president is senile. If he is not senile, than this mis-statement is a horrible breach of trust. No other president in history has spoken about the "intelligence" and information he had while in the Oval Office. But what else would you expect from some one who got scared of a bunny?

Five Great Movies for Memorial Day

For fun, I thought I would list five great movies concerning our Country's finest, the US Military. I personally recommend all of these movies; but I know that there are others that are just as good. Please feel free to recommend any of your own favorites. In no particular order, my five favorite Memorial Day movies are:

1. Twelve O'Clock High (1949; B/W; Gregory Peck): The 8th Air Force's bombing of Germany.

2. Battleground (1949; B/W; Van Johnson): The 101st Airborne at Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge.

3. They Were Expendable (1945; B/W; Robert Montgomery, John Wayne): PT Boats in the Philippines before its fall.

4. Guadalcanal Diary (1943; B/W; Lloyd Nolan, William Bendix): The Marines and the invasion of Guadalcanal.

5. The Crossing (2000; Color; Jeff Daniels): A dramatization of George Washington's gamble at Trenton in 1776.

Hope everyone has a safe and peaceful Memorial Day. Please keep our troops in your thoughts and prayers.

The Oil Crisis: Senate Democrats Act Like Water

On May 21, 2008, the Senate Judiciary Committee spoke with top executives from the petroleum industry. Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) and his fellow Democrats tried to blame the American oil companies for the high price of gasoline. However, it was the senators who got a lesson in "oil" economics.

Attending the Senate Committee's meeting were chairmans, presidents and vice presidents of BP America, Inc., Shell Oil Company, Chevron Corporation, Conoco Philips Company; and Exxon Mobil Corporation. The meeting was a "blood-bath" for the senators. The oil executives had the facts to prove that the US Energy Policy of the last 30 years is the prime reason of the present oil crisis.

President John Hofmeister of Shell Oil Company testified as follows:

"According to the Department of the Interior, 62 percent of all on-shore federal lands are off limits to oil and gas developments, with restrictions applying to 92 percent of all federal lands. We have an outer continental shelf moratorium on the Atlantic Ocean, an outer continental shelf moratorium on the Pacific Ocean, an outer continental shelf moratorium on the eastern Gulf of Mexico, congressional bans on on-shore oil and gas activities in specific areas of the Rockies and Alaska, and even a congressional ban on doing an analysis of the resource potential for oil and gas in the Atlantic, Pacific and eastern Gulf of Mexico.

The Argonne National Laboratory did a report in 2004 that identified 40 specific federal policy areas that halt, limit, delay or restrict natural gas projects. I urge you to review it. It is a long list. If I may, I offer it today if you would like to include it in the record.

When many of these policies were implemented, oil was selling in the single digits, not the triple digits we see now. The cumulative effect of these policies has been to discourage U.S. investment and send U.S. companies outside the United States to produce new supplies.

As a result, U.S. production has declined so much that nearly 60 percent of daily consumption comes from foreign sources.

The problem of access can be solved in this country by the same government that has prohibited it. Congress could have chosen to lift some or all of the current restrictions on exportation and production of oil and gas. Congress could provide national policy to reverse the persistent decline of domestically secure natural resource development."

Near the end of the hearing, Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) asked Mr. Hofmeister about the Democrats' (now serving in Congress) and their latest efforts to block energy independence:

HATCH: I want to get into that. In other words, we're talking about Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. It's fair to say that they're not considered part of America's $22 billion of proven reserves.

HOFMEISTER: Not at all.

HATCH: No, but experts agree that there's between 800 billion to almost 2 trillion barrels of oil that could be recoverable there, and that's good oil, isn't it?

HOFMEISTER: That's correct.

HATCH: It could be recovered at somewhere between $30 and $40 a barrel?

HOFMEISTER: I think those costs are probably a bit dated now, based upon what we've seen in the inflation...

HATCH: Well, somewhere in that area.

HOFMEISTER: I don't know what the exact cost would be, but, you know, if there is more supply, I think inflation in the oil industry would be cracked. And we are facing severe inflation because of the limited amount of supply against the demand.

HATCH: I guess what I'm saying, though, is that if we started to develop the oil shale in those three states we could do it within this framework of over $100 a barrel and make a profit.

HOFMEISTER: I believe we could.

HATCH: And we could help our country alleviate its oil pressures.

HOFMEISTER: Yes.

HATCH: But they're stopping us from doing that right here, as we sit here. We just had a hearing last week where Democrats had stopped the ability to do that, in at least Colorado.

HOFMEISTER: Well, as I said in my opening statement, I think the public policy constraints on the supply side in this country are a disservice to the American consumer.

The committee's Democrats had NO REPLY.

For 30 years we have had an energy policy that resembles a "witches' brew" of kick-backs and pandering to the Looney Left. For 30 years good engineers and technicians have kept this Country fully supplied with the energy she required; but we are not "Supermen". (I use the "we", because I too am an electrical engineer.) The electrical  power grid will be facing brown-outs and "rolling" black-outs if this summer is too hot. Gasoline prices are expected to reach $5.00 per gallon by August, 2008. And this is just the start.

For 30 years, the Democrats have acted without the sense that God gave a retarded dodo bird. And now the "chickens" are coming home to roost.

Contant your Congressional Representatives and Senators. Ask, no DEMAND that all federal lands, including ANWR, be opened to oil exploration and development. DEMAND that the outer continental shelf moratoriums be lifted. DEMAND that all nuclear power plant construction resistrictions and "red tape" be eliminated. DEMAND that all oil refinery construction resistrictions and "red tape" be eliminated.

Do it for our Children. And our Grand-Children. And our Great-Grand-Children.

How Bad Was It on the Night of May 10, 2008?

I have been contacted by many people concerning the storms that went through my area on the night of May 10, 2008. The first picture I have placed in this article shows the damage to the Mt. Ary M.B. Church right outside of Friars Point, Mississippi. This building is over 100 years old; and it was severely damaged that night. (This is approximately 6 miles from my home.)

The following picture shows how this beautiful old church looked before the storm:

By the way, if any of you would like to donate to the re-building of this historical church, you may send donations to:

These are good, Christian, hard-working people. I know they would appreciate any help.

The Citizens of Great Britain Want Their Guns Back!

The internet address below is for a video of a peaceful demonstration in Great Britain. Why it is of interest for all of us in the USA is the reason for the demonstration: THE CITIZENS OF GREAT BRITAIN WANT THEIR GUNS BACK!

Home robberies have risen drastically. The streets of London are no longer safe. The police now find themselves out-gunned by the criminals. And all of this happened after the British Parliament banned the legal ownership of guns by civilians.

We here in the "States" should watch this video and ponder its implications. Unless we fight for our Second Amendment Rights, this could happen here.

"Americans have the right and advantage of being armed ? unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." (James Madison; The Federalist, No. 46 at 243- 244)

Shari Established in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province

On May 11, 2008, Pakistan's secular government in the North West Frontier Province completed a deal with various Taiban groups to implement a shari's system of administration and justice in 7 districts in this province. This will be Pakistan's first "mini-shari's" state; and possibly the first mini-shari's state in the world. (Pakistan is therefore giving up control of approximately 45% of this province.)

A "secret police" called the "Amr Bil Maroof" will take charge at the local police stations. New judges (familar with shari law) will be appointed. Shari justice (such as the immediate amputation of hands) will be implemented.

I hope some one in the US Military is watching this closely. If these "idiots" get hold of Pakistan's nuclear weapons, there is no telling what they might do.

Osama bin Laden Wiil Not Give Up Fight Against Israel

The Islamic website "Al-Ikhlas" posted an audio message from Osama bin Laden on May 16, 2008, on the 60th anniversary of the founding of Israel. In his message, bin Laden accussed the West of consistently taking Israel's side in the on-going middle east conflict between Israel and Muslims. He said that Israel "occupies" land initiately stolen from the Palestinians 60 years ago; and that as long as one Muslim is left alive in the world, the fight will never stop.

Is it me, or does bin Laden sound desperate? Several Islamic sites are calling for more volunteers in this world wide struggle by Muslims. And certainly there is much success that can be pointed to by Muslims in Pakistan, France, and even Great Britian. So, why the phrase: "as long as one Muslim is left alive in the world"?

I believe that bin Laden and Al Qaeda are starting to realize that unless the USA stops its on-going war soon, he and his organization will be completely "marginalized". There has not been one major Al Qaeda attack on the West for awhile. Reports of lack of recruits for Al Qaeda are all over the internet. This lack of success in making attacks on the West will only increase his problem of obtaining new volunteers.

The Middle East Media Research Institute has a report concerning this audio. It can be seen at the following address:

The "Main Stream Media": Traitors or Just Plain Stupid?

I happened to notice an article published by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) yesterday. This article discussed an interview by Imad Moustapha, the Syrian envoy to the USA, with Al-Jazeera TV on May 5, 2008. The address of the MEMRI article is:

The address of a film clip of this Al-Jazeera interview is:

Mr. Moustapha constantly refers to the US "Main Stream Media" in his interview. He describes the Israeli air attack on the Syrian facilities at Dayr AZ-Zawr on September 6, 2007, by saying: "The American Media.....establishment has already begun to pound away at this account and the blows will only increase". Mr. Moustapha (see photo below) contends that Syria had no nuclear facilities or nuclear material at this site. That Syria only wants PEACE.

Mr. Moustapha goes on to say: The Bush Administration has "presented the American people with a story according to which there is a great danger in that region, because evil rogue states like Syria and Iran are arming themselves with nuclear weapons, while the good, democratic, and angelic state of Israel is in terrible danger, and we have to do something in order to save Israel from the evil of those rogue states".

If this sounds like something the US Main Stream Media would say, then you are correct. A quick look at the back issues of the New York Times (10/11/2007, 10/14/2007, 01/12/2008, and 05/15/2008) shows an increasing tempo of articles and editorials in this newspaper, and their online site, basically pointing a finger at Israel and the USA as "loose cannons".

I will leave this analysis with one additional quote from Mr. Moustapha's interview: "Sometimes It Amazes Me That My Enemy is So Naïve, Superficial, and Stupid...".

You and me both, Mr. Moustapha. I think I have answered my question in the title of my article.

On the Funnier (?) Side

Date Line: Tuesday May 13, 2008, Holyhead, Wales, the AP News Service reported that a man dressed as "Darth Vader" who attacked the founder of Great Britian's Jedi Church was given a suspended sentence.
Arwel Wynne Hughes, dressed in black with a black plastic garbage bag as a cape, assulted Jedi church founder Barney Jones, aka Master Jonba Hehol, with a metal crutch on March 25, 2008. Mr. Hughes also "whacked" (the AP's word, not mine) Jones' cousin, Michael Jones , aka Master Mormi Hehol, in the original attack. Mr. Hughes, aka "Drunk" Vader, had consumed the better part of a 10 liter box of wine prior to the attack.

District Judge Andrew Shaw sentenced Mr. Hughes to 2 months in jail; but he suspended the sentence for one year (or until "Star Wars 7, The Attack of the Clowns" is released, my words not the judge's). Mr. Hughes was alos ordered to pay $507.00 in fines.

The article also noted that in the 2001 United Kingdom census, 390,000 people (0.7 percent of the population) listed Jedi as their religion.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel that "all the world's crazy but me and thee, and even thee is alittle crazy"? I mean, frankly, I thought Darth Vader had more taste than to drink "wine in a box". And where was Vader's light saber? I am going to contact Luke Skywalker this afternoon and ask him about this.

Who Do Iraqis Really Want?

Osama bin Laden increased his "terror" war to truly global proportions on September 11th, 2001. He later explained in a video to his own followers that America was a "paper tiger", too afraid to take casualties. Defeating "The Great Satan" would be even much easier than defeating the Soviets in Afghanistan. Bin Laden declared, "When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse."

Osama bin Laden is now living in a cave in Northern Pakistan (if he is still alive). He and his associates are "begging" for recruits to fight in Iraq. In doing so he is admitting that it is he, not us, who is the "weak horse". Osama is "yelling for help" to a people who recognize a show of weakness when they hear it.

Look at the picture below. It shows the aftermath of an IED explosion in Iraq. Who do you think this Iraqi child considers the "strong horse"? Can this type of reaction be faked? Who and where did this child go to find safety?

The Liberals are constantly saying that the Iraqis want US troops out of Iraq. I think the above picture says differently.

Palestinians Are for Obama????

Just when you thought this election could not get any funnier (or sadder), comes this report from National Review Online:

It seems that Palestinians in Gaza City are making telephone calls to the USA before the primaries in each state in support of O'Vomit! The mind "boggles" at the thought. I am 57 years old; and I thought I had seen just about everything. But I guess I am just a "babe-in-the woods". I almost didn't believe the report; but here is the YouTube film of these Palestinian Isalmics actually making the calls:

If even the Moderates need a reason NOT to vote for O'Vomit, here it is.

Perhaps, next al Quida will "weigh-in" on the election.

The Roanoke Times: Gun Control is Based on False Premises

The online site for the Roanoke Times has an excellent article concerning gun control. The article is entitled: "Gun Control is Based on False Premises". It was written by Mr. Bradford Wiles, and is well worth reading. The link to this article is as follows:

Mr. Wiles makes some good points. Most of these points have been discussed before; but they worth looking at again.
